Care must be taken not to operate this pump with the outlet blocked, as the hi pressure capability can damage the pump or burst connected hose or piping.  Some customers have installed their own pressure switch with very satisfactory results - however this requires cutting the power cord and wiring thru a switch which should be done by an electrician or other qualified individual.
You can also simply connect your own garden hose to the pump and lower down a well and Plug In for INSTANT water for spraying lawns, gardens, filling stock tanks, running sprinklers, etc. etc!!!

1/2" NPT pipe to hose adapter & 2 hi-pressure hose connection clamps.
The difference between this pump and regular continuous well pumps is the maximum hour life.
This pump is rated at 2,000 hours of lifespan.  We have not seen a rating for regular well pumps but suspect that it is probably 10x this amount.  We have put this pump down a well and ran for 24hrs straight and the pump performed fine.  Again, this pump is a great economical choice for vacation cottage or other Occasional use type applications.  This pump should NOT be considered for a replacement well pump in a year round living dwelling application as you will certainly need to replace it prematurely.  This pump requires no control box  - Operation is simple, connect it to your power source  and it pumps - disconnect it and pumping stops OR wire into a pressure switch to turn on/off based upon your own pressure setting.
