ANTIQUE RC NIPPON GRAVY BOAT w UNDERPLATE DOUBLE SPOUT ROYAL CROCKERY GOLD TRIM

Description

An elegant vintage porcelain Nippon sauceboat with matching underplate. It is decorated with a beautiful design of stylized flowers and vines in shades of brown and olive green on light tan, highlighted with tiny hand painted raised dots and lines in gold. The bottom of the foot and edges of both pieces are trimmed with gold.
The double spout gravy boat is 7-1/2" from one lip to the other, and the underplate is 8-1/4" x 5-5/8",
The few flaws noted are a small (1/8") chip on the edge near the lip, a small shallow chip on the underside of the foot, wear to the gold at the ends of the spouts and a tiny thin line of paint (3/16") on one side from when it was made.
Marked 'Hand Painted Nippon RC' (Royal Crockery Fine China), the mark used from 191 to 1921.
