The concrete mixer by Mortrex is designed to mix concrete in a 5-gal. bucket. The patented mixer features 3 water level marks for a 40 lbs., 60 lbs. and 80 lbs. bag (80 lbs. can be mixed half bag at a time) of premixed concrete. Simply pour the water in the bucket at the appropriate water level. Pour 2/3 of a bag in and agitate. Pour the remaining 1/3 in and your batch of concrete is mixed in less than a minute. Perfect mix every time.

Instead of mixing concrete, I used this to mix small landscaping stones with a special adhesive. I could tell that the stones were thoroughly coated after mixing for about a minute. Very pleased, well worth the money.

Does a pretty good job - though I found it really difficult to do a whole (60lb) bag of concrete in a 5 gallon bucket using this tool. I think about 1/3 to 1/2 bag is much more manageable. But the tool itself does a good job at doing the actual mixing.

I don't like working too hard and mixing concrete with a trowel in a bucket is a pain. This seems to work really great to get that job done. Many people complained about the bucket turning while mixing and couldn't be held. I took a 2ft square piece of plywood and screwed down two tees I made from ripping two scrap 2x4's to 2x2's. I placed the two upright posts the width of the bucket and buckled a strap around the uprights and the bucket. This holds the bucket and lets you mix your concrete fairly easily. I'm mixing half bag lite weight at a time to use in a paver mold. This is working great me. I wouldn't want to do this without it.

Not as fast as indicated in the description. However, it is much better then mixing a batch of concrete in a wheelbarrow. Don’t plan on mixing more than a 60 pound bag of concrete. A larger bag won’t fit. The biggest problem I had was preventing the 5 gallon bucket from turning while mixing.
