Which 3D Printed LATCH is Better For Your Needs: PLA, ABS, or PETG?
There isn't any single winner that can be classified as the best filament out there. Choose what's right for you.
PLA:
Ideal for indoor toolbox users. Inexpensive, Lots of colors, Low melting point means it could warp if left in a hot truck bed (+140°F) or prolonged sunlight (low to zero UV resistance). Strong, but slightly brittle and could snap if bent aggressively.
PETG: (!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!)
Has qualities from both PLA and ABS merge into one very practical filament! High strength, Good UV resistance (ideal for outdoor applications), moderate flexibility and stronger than ABS.
ABS

Higher heat and chemical resistance, strength, durability, flexibility, and can withstand more wear and tear overall. Softer than PLA & PETG so it will flex before it breaks. Fair - UV resistance.
