    Description
    Presented for your consideration is this fine specimen of the membership badge of the Military Order of Foreign Wars.  This medal is in untouched, uncleaned, as-found condition with a great patina.  Of multi-piece construction, it is struck from bronze which has been gilded and further highlighted by hard fired enamel.  The enamel is in perfect condition.  This specimen is mounted to the original neck ribbon.  The Military Order of Foreign Wars is one of America's oldest military societies being founded in 1894.  It is still active.  This fine medal would make a wonderful upgrade from the lesser quality of modern strikes or would complete a hole in a group or collection where one is required.  Another fine medal from Brother Rabbit's hutch!
