    U.S. Marine Corp medal. Commissioned by the American Legion in 1922 for their school award program.
    Cast by the Medalic Art Company NY, NY.
    MacKenzie is a well known Canadian/American sculptor. His monumental works include Benjamin Franklin at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), as well as works at Brookgreen Gardens N.C. (1910-1914). The Scots American War Memorial Edinburgh Scotland (1927). General James Wolf, London (1927). Gov. Andrew Curtin and General John Grubb Park both in Vicksburg national battlefield park (1930 & 1932).
