    As Tesla moved to reduce cost and improve energy density, they introduced the larger 2170 cell common in the Model 3 and Y.
    And now as Tesla pushes towards a fully electric future, they’ve introduced the revolutionary Tabless Electrode 4680 cell which will enable cost declines, energy and power improvements, and collateral innovations such as the structural pack.
    The 4680 was introduced into the Austin, TX built Model Y in 2022 and will power the Cybertruck and Tesla Semi.
    This three-cell demonstrator set explores the history of Tesla's battery cells from an early innovative start-up company to a sustainable energy powerhouse.
