Awesome vintage estate sale find in this Burgess & Leigh Burleigh Ware WILLOW gold rim saucer. Beautiful transferware saucer is a beautiful
rich blue color
Asian motif featuring trees, two birds, people on a bridge, a fence, a boat and a tea house, which some collectors call a pagoda.
Delicate and lovely gold design rim edge. Manufactured by Burgess and Leigh Pottery, in the Staffordshire Town of Burslem Under the Burleigh Brand. Dating back to the 1930's, this beauty is ready to add the wow factor to your retro kitchen or blue and white dish collection. Will mix and match with so many other vintage dishes and serving pieces! The "Blue Willow" pattern is over 200 years old and has been continual production longer than any other pattern. It depicts the Chinese fable of an eloping couple transforming into doves, and has became of one the most identifiable design elements of 18th and 19th century ceramics.
