    Description

Includes two super strong neodymium magnets to hold insert in place during use.
Made of your choice 1/2" MDF or 1/2" Baltic Birch Plywood.
Designed to be a snug fit and adjustable with 4 leveling set screws to match the saw table height.
Choosing the right insert for your saw:
First measure the thickness of the original
    Craftsman throat plate.
It should be Greater then 1/16".
    (if yours measure
    1/16" or less the insert
    will not work
. The insert will be higher then your table surface.)
    Now Measure the
    length
of the original Craftsman throat plate that came with your saw.  The measurement will be either 14" or 14-3/8".  Choose the size that will fit your saw.
The Benefits of using a Zero Clearance Insert with Your Table Saw
Zero-clearance inserts are the best simple upgrade you can make to your table saw. They'll make your saw safer and give you better cutting results with less hassle. A zero-clearance insert minimizes the size of the blade opening.
To prevent small pieces of wood from falling into the gap around the table saw blade while cutting. This helps prevent dangerous table saw kickbacks.
Reducing the amount of tearout and chipout that can occur with the factory throat plate or a standard insert.  Zero-clearance inserts reduce tearout and chipout by ensuring that the workpiece has support on all sides during a cut. The support helps prevent wood fibers from getting pulled away from the workpiece as the blade advances through. The less open space you have under your workpiece, the greater control you have over the cut, and the quality of the cut.
When you see the difference that a zero clearance insert makes, you'll want to have a dedicated insert for each sawing operation you do, regular cuts, thin kerf cuts, dado cuts (one for each width) and even angled cuts. Keep extra blanks on hand, and you're always ready to replace a worn-out insert.
    What included with purchase.
Your choice of MDF or Baltic Birch Plywood inserts for Craftsman Table Saw. Inserts are machined with leveling set screws that can be adjusted to level insert to your saw, two neodymium magnets, blade cutout and a finger hole for easy removal.
